Paul Walker on the Mend After 'Fast and Furious 6' Mishap

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Paul Walker, a main actor in 'Fast and Furious 6' had recently suffered an ACL injury. The question now is, Will he have to drive an automatic? He has been limping since his ACL injury doing some stunt work on set, but refuses to rest. Walker will not have to drive an automatic, he will just have to be very careful on what he does and how he does it.

This is important to me, because I am certainly a big fan of actor, Paul Walker and the other actors Vin Diesel, and Dwayne Johnson in the 'Fast and Furious'. I chose this specific article, because I always loved these movies. They were always so entertaining, and had amazing action scenes. What caught my eye in this article, was how Paul Walker continued to participate in these stunts and did not back down, no matter how hurt he was. It would have definitely ruined the film if they had to put in another actor to replace him.

This article impacts me as a student, because if they were to put in another actor to replace Paul Walker, I don't think I would have been that interested into watching this movie. Personally, I think it changes the whole movie and it just doesn't go right. As a future filmmaker, I would definitely be very cautious as to who to get for my actors. I would get many backup actors, and possibly some that look like the original actors just incase an incident occurs like what happened to Paul Walker. I think it is very difficult for choosing who you want to act, because you need someone who is willing to help your film become very successful.

As I read this article, questions came up. What would happen if they got a new actor to replace him? Would people be as interested in the movie if it were a new actor?
